British Airways

One of the highlights of the trip to Ghana was this: when we got on the plane, I started watching watching '42' - that is a good film - and then I watched the 'Croods'. Then we had pasta for dinner. Then I slept for four hours...actually I don't know how long I slept, but I do know that I watched the 'Croods' again when I woke up.

In London, Great Britain, we stood in a lot of lines - then I found a snapper catcher thingey at a toy store. I played with it for about 10 minutes. Then, we caught our plan to Ghana.

When I walked off the plane in Accra, it was really humid and smelled like Africa. I thought it was cool that we got to walk down the stairs onto the runway! Awesome!

  3. Hi Rockwell, I'm sending this under my secret code name. Can you guess who I am? What makes it more tricky is that it is spelled incorrectly. Here's a big clue: by using a fake name, I'm not giving up my yappy. (Remember that?0

One thing that good writers do is give the reader a sensory experience, such as describing how things feel (humid) and smell (like Africa), taste, sound and look. They also use figurative language, and you used a _______ when you said "smelled like Africa." I can only imagine what Africa smells like, but I do think I have an idea.

    Thanks for a great post!

  4. p.s. I would have to say I'm a "dgers" fan more than a "GIA" fan.

  5. Hi Rock! Everyone complains about the long plane trips, but I secretly kind of like them too. You get to read and watch movies, and every few hours someone brings you a soda.
Thanks for posting- our family is following your adventures.
